Fund-raiser in Laguna - we weren't invited!

I'm sure if they had known we were coming, they'd have issued an invitation to us. Oceana's fifth annual SeaChange fundraiser was held last Sunday. Alisha Gomez of the L.A. Times reports: "The event, held at  a private coastal home in Laguna Beach, featured a blue carpet to walk, a sit-down dinner, presentations from Oceana's directors, a silent and live auction and dancing "under the stars", according to a news release. Special guests were actors Morgan Freeman and Jeff Goldblum, and the Mildred Snitzer orchestra. Other celebrities in attendance included Ted Danson, Aimee Teagarden... Beverly D'Angelo." They raised over $1 million, so I suppose they hardly needed a couple of hangers-on from Ireland!

The houses here are pretty amazing, architecturally. Some might not look spectacular but their location is everything, as any realtor will tell you! This one is for sale for >$3, 995, 000:
2735 Victoria Drive, Laguna Beach, CA, United States.
Pop it into Google Maps for a look. It's on the local paper, and the interior photos, plus the view over the beach explain its high price tag. It's on the beach side of the Highway but it doesn't have beach access. You could probably double the price for that. Dream on!!
